Venus in Sagittarius: An Experiment in Fun & Pleasure
My personal tips on how to use each & every Venus transit.
It’s Venus day and the planet of love and beauty herself just entered Sagittarius!
Sagittarius is my rising sign, so I always welcome a Venusian visit to the fiery Archer. I also plan accordingly — I want to make the most out of these few short weeks during which I am a Venusian avatar.
And as I was preparing myself for my eagerly anticipated annual “love thyself” spree, I thought I would share my general approach to Venus transits!
This is a very simple tactic that uses astrology to enhance your daily life in a practical and fun way. (I mean, we are talking about Venus here.)
The only thing you need to know to use this technique is your rising sign.

When Venus is transiting through a sign — any sign — focus your loving attention on the life area represented by that sign in your chart.
Think about it: Venus is already there. She’s already blessing that life area! Why not help her out a bit??
For example, Sagittarius Venus is cruising through my first house of embodiment, appearance, and life purpose. This is why Venus in Sagittarius is always such a lovely time to really turn the focus toward myself: during these weeks, I try to schedule haircuts or massages, go shopping for new clothes/makeup, amp up my fitness efforts — whatever my budget and desires allow.
Updating your Venus altar always helps.
During Venus’ time in Scorpio, my 12th house of mental health and “self-undoing”, I focused my loving attention on mental and spiritual self-care…mostly by clearing my schedule to allow myself more solitude. Peace was the focus.
Once she moves into my Capricorn 2nd house, my loving attention will turn towards finances. Once she enters Aquarius, I’ll focus on 3rd house topics like learning new skills, journaling, and/or loading up on podcasts. And so on.
Let me be clear: you absolutely can make this as detailed and elaborate if you like. But it’s really not necessary.
